About

Nosta Glaser is a painter and printmaker living in Philadelphia. She uses nature as a focus for form, color and movement. In her work she attempts to depict the energy, the struggle for life found in nature, as well as the response to beauty. The variety of form that these things assume is expressed in botanical subjects, landscapes and recently with figures within landscape.

Nosta earned her B.F.A. at the Philadelphia College of Art (Phila. PA), followed by a Graduate fellowship at Claremont Graduate School (Claremont, CA). Her fascination with plant forms led her to three years of study at the Arboretum of the Barnes Foundation in Merion, PA.
